Jeff Farr has been a consistent presence in the California VEX Robotics community for more than a decade, serving as a coach, educator, and event partner at Foothill High School. Even following his retirement from teaching, Farr has continued to support teams, mentor students, and contribute to the broader robotics ecosystem.
During his tenure, Farr led the Foothill Engineering and Technology Academy and the “KnightTime Bots” robotics program, transforming them into respected models at the state and national level. He has hosted numerous tournaments, provided equipment and logistical support to other schools, and developed feeder programs to strengthen robotics education across the Tustin Unified School District.
Farr’s influence extends beyond his own school. He has mentored hundreds of students, facilitated industry connections, and supported the development of new programs at the elementary and middle school levels. His emphasis on mentorship has created a lasting cycle of student leadership, with many alumni returning to support the program and contribute to local events.
