Sylvia Acevedo is the CEO of Girl Scouts of the USA. She became CEO in 2017 after serving on the organization's Board of Directors from 2009 to 2016 as an officer and member of its Executive Committee. Growing up in rural New Mexico, Girl Scouts nourished a love for math and science in Sylvia that would culminate in a career as a rocket scientist, engineer, and award winning STEM entrepreneur.
