Kaitlin Russell is a UAH Aerospace Engineering graduate. Currently she is a Research Associate at UAH Systems Management and Production Center. The Center’s mission is to conduct research and support the U.S. Army. Kaitlin helped conduct STEM outreach which included visiting many schools and STEM-fests. Prior to that Kaitlin was part of a team that created a payload designed to be launched on a high altitude balloon. She also served as design lead on a team that built a supersonic carbon fiber rocket among several other aerospace-related projects. Kaitlin aspires to become the first Native American female astronaut.
