Judging

To be considered for judged awards, teams must sign up for and complete a remote (online) initial judged team interview. Parade of Nations Selection Process

If a nation/region has fewer than 15 teams registered for the VEX Robotics World Championship in a specific grade level / program, all registered teams for that nation/region will be given the opportunity to apply to walk as representatives in the Parade of Nations during that program / grade level’s Opening Ceremony.

For nations/regions with more than 15 teams registered for the VEX Robotics World Championship for that grade level / program, the RECF will send a special application to Excellence Award winners from Signature Events and Event Region Championships. Up to 15 teams will be selected at random from those applications to provide representatives for the Parade of Nations. Representatives must be active student team members for the 2026 season. All applicants will be informed in early April about their selection.

Participant Release Forms

All students, coaches, and adult helpers must have a Participant Release Form (PRF) completed and uploaded to the team’s RobotEvents account prior to attending the VEX Robotics World Championship.

Visa and Invitation Letters

The RECF is pleased to offer visa and invitation letters to participating teams. To ensure a smooth process, we will process all requests as quickly and efficiently as possible.

2025-2026 Signature Event Updates

  1. An Event Partner wanting to apply to host a Signature Event must have hosted events for at least 2 seasons prior to applying.
  2. Signature Events must use the officially branded award banners for the Excellence Award and Tournament/Teamwork Champions Award.
  3. When hanging field skirts the VEX Robotics logo/brand name can not be covered up on the competition fields.
  4. VEX V5 Robotics Competition Signature Events may have regional capacity and max per organization restrictions lifted 8 weeks before the event if the event is not full (similar to the process already in place for VEX IQ Robotics Competition Signature Events).
  5. Minimum pit size reduced to 8’x 8’ instead of 10’x10’.
